Akhalkalak is a one-of-a-kind display face. It achieves high visual harmony, but is also horizontally very economical for Georgian: taking a cue from the Latin blackletter style, Akhalkalak’s lower strokes are “broken”, allowing for very tight forms. This makes the design unconventional, but legibility is in fact maintained. ¶Akhalkalak has 4 weights, two of which harmonize with Emigre’s Modula Round Sans typeface.
